Workers from dozens of countries go involved, including Nepal, India, Brazil and Argentina, covering road, rail, aviation and maritime.
In Nepal, Kathmandu metropolitan administration chief responded to demands from ITF affiliate NETWON and committed to build 42 additional free to use gender responsive toilets for informal road transport workers in the city.
In India, the ITF’s Nishi Kapahi spoke on a panel with Jack Sim of the World Toilet Organization.
The World Toilet Day campaign builds on the success of the ‘right to flush’ fringe at the 44th ITF Congress in Singapore, 14-20 October 2018. You can see photos from the fringe here.
