EQUALITY

Confronting discrimination, valuing diversity and ensuring equity for all workers.

Even today, workers across the world face discrimination based on their gender, age, ethnicity, religion, disability, immigration status and sexual orientation. In the male dominated transport industry, women face structural barriers to entry and progression, are more vulnerable to violence and harassment, and are constantly invisibilised in decision making.

Young people are entering a world of work characterised by increased precarity, reduced wages and employment conditions, and more insecure futures. In an increasingly hostile world, migrant workers are more vulnerable to violence, exploitation and fewer protections. And LGBTQI+ workers are still forced to hide their identity.

OUR POSITION

We're confronting inequality, discrimination and stigma in the workplace. We're exposing injustice and holding those responsible to account, seeking both reconciliation and advancement in the rights of all workers. We value our diversity – whether it’s based on gender, age, ethnicity, religion, disability or sexual orientation – and advocate for equal opportunities, inclusive and democratic decision making and more representative leadership across the transport industry.
