Restrictions and attacks on trade union rights are an increasing challenge across Africa. ITF Africa is fighting the corporate greed and corruption which have driven down wages and working conditions and driven poverty and inequality across the region.
ITF Africa see national, sub-regional, regional and global coordination as the most effective way to shift power back from capital to workers, and win a just, equal and sustainable future for us all. Across Africa, every country with more than two affiliated unions now has an ITF coordinating committee and sub-regional coordination is strengthening solidarity across the continent to protect and improve transport workers' lives and futures.
