ILO Road Transport Guidelines Brief

Report Published

The Guidelines are the product of several years of work by the ITF, beginning with preparation for an earlier meeting on safety and health in the road transport sector, held in 2015. At this meeting, the workers’ group delegation (also led by the ITF) succeeded in winning employer and government agreement on a resolution that committed the ILO and its constitutions to developing and adopting “a code of practice or guidelines on best practices in road transport safety.”
