VIOLENCE IN THE AIR: CABIN CREW'S HORRIFYING EXPERIENCES

Impact stories

Lília Cavalcanti, cabin crew with LATAM Airlines in Brazil, tells her personal story of passenger violence in the air. “There was turbulence and this passenger screams and jumps on top of me and I was frightened, scared, in shock. I was there caring for his safety and this passenger attacked me.” Thanks to union campaigning, the law was changed in Brazil, leading to 12-month flight-bans for violent passengers.
