The 44th Congress of the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) will be held in Singapore, 14-20 October 2018. This is the first time the ITF congress will be held in Southeast Asia in its 122-year history.
The International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF) has condemned in the strongest of terms a reported call by an Iranian court for the issuing of the death penalty against 17 activists involved in a widespread truckers’ strike.
The ITF, together with the other global union federations and the ITUC, is calling on governments to support a United Nations Binding Treaty on Business and Human Rights, with negotiations already underway at the UN Human Rights Council.
