ITF campaigns on behalf of almost five million transport workers from across the globe.

ITF unions have been involved in a number of activities to improve transport workers’ rights. Here are just a few of our achievements:

• Won two collective

Founded in 1896 as the International Federation of Ship, Dock and River Workers, the ITF adopted its current name in 1898 when it expanded to include transport workers in non-maritime industries.
